This beautiful stylish crib, hand crafted out of New Zealand Beech timber and topped with a soft voile canopy, is the perfect first bed for your newborn. Featuring a soft, natural cotton hammock, made from aircell crochet fabric, the crib is not only soft and cosy but also promotes natural airflow, meaning that your baby's bed will always be the right temperature for sleep - neither too hot or too cold. A fabulous design allows you to help soothe your baby by gently rocking the hammock, or the entire crib itself. Rocking is a traditional, rythmic and highly effective way of settling babies that mothers all over the world have used for centuries.

The wooden crib, hand crafted out of naturally sourced kiln dried beech timber, is lovingly hand-crafted in the South Island of New Zealand. The wooden crib, is extremely sturdy, but surprisingly compact and light, weighs only 7kgs and comes with its own compact storage bag. Held together with a clever knob and thread system, the crib can easily be assembled without tools, and is perfect for travelling, or nights at Grandma's.

The hammock's large size (800mm long x 350mm wide x 400mm deep) will mean your baby will be happy in their crib until up to six months, until they are able to pull themselves up, or until they weigh 10kgs/ 22lbs. Whichever comes first!

The aircell crochet hammock fabric is made out of natural cotton, and is breathable and fully machine washable. Both the hammock and its base (made out of quality ply wood with air holes), are made from natural materials (cotton and wood) that promote a healthy airflow. This unique airflow system helps your baby go down to sleep in conditions that are always dry, clean, and comfortable.

The Wooden Crib is sold with the voile canopy, available in either plain or hand embroidered with a choice of embroidery.
